Injury scare for Smriti Mandhana
With India having posted 132/4, they would have to be tight on the field, and Mandhana put her body on the line in trying to save a few runs. In the first over of Australia's chase, she gave chase to Alyssa Healy's shot through cover and pushed the ball in just before it reached the ropes.
She herself crashed into the hoardings, however, and clutched her left shoulder in pain. She received treatment from the physio and continued fielding, but walked off at the end of the over for more treatment.
Worrying signs for the India camp...

While she eventually returned to the field, the extent or exact nature of the injury remained unclear.
Mandhana, ranked No.4 on the MRF Tyres ICC Women's T20I Rankings for batting, is a vital player for India. In her team's batting innings, while she managed just 10 runs, she combined with the young Shafali Verma to post 40 in just the first four overs.
