Pakistan, South Africa to prepare for Women's T20 World Cup with bilateral series in Multan
Pakistan and South Africa will gear up for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the UAE with a three-match series at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
Just before the start of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024, South Africa will visit Pakistan for a three-match T20I series, which will be played in Multan.
The series is set to begin on 16 September with matches on alternate days until 20 September.
After the series, South Africa will head to the UAE on 21 September, followed by Pakistan on 23 September.
In the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, Pakistan are part of Group A alongside Australia, India, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka, while South Africa are in Group B with Bangladesh, England, Scotland, and the West Indies.
Pakistan also confirmed that the same squad that was announced to play the Women's T20 World Cup will also feature in the bilateral series.
Pakistan squad: Fatima Sana (c), Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, Gull Feroza, Iram Javed, Muneeba Ali (wk), Nashra Sundhu, Nida Dar, Omaima Sohail, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal (subject to fitness), Sidra Amin, Syeda Aroob Shah, Tasmia Rubab and Tuba Hassan.
Najiha Alvi (wk, travelling reserve), Rameen Shamim and Umm-e-Hani (non-traveling reserves) will be a part of the series in Multan.
